I know the righties out there hate the unions, and (and least recently) with good reason. Here's my humble opinion. As corrupt as the unions are now-a-days, Wal-Mart is a prime example of what would happen if there were no unions in a Capitalist society. And then I read this.... PLEASE HELP PROTEST WAL-MART!!! For the Record....

As I am a "bleeding heart liberal," I wanted to post my feeling on the Imus situation. Was he wrong for saying what he said? Of course. Not one person debates that. Was he out of line? Yes. Was it racist? Likely. Was it a fire-able offense? OF COURSE NOT! We have a little thing in this country called free speech. That includes unpopular speech. That includes hate speech. That includes offensive speech. Perhaps Imus should have been fired because his radio show sucks, but not because of what he said. Had he dropped a few F bombs, or incited a riot, that would be grounds for firing. [And I'd also like to point out that Al Sharpton has the right to protest and ask for Imus' head. That, too, is protected by free speech.]

It may soon be coming to that....I hadn't heard about this story until today, which makes me think I'm not the only one.

Just to clarify, the administration that uses troops for props at every opportunity is recently guilty of A) considering extra money for injured veterans "pork," B) and now sending injured troops back into the line of fire. For people who "support the troops," they sure have a funny way of showing it!
