It's a mad, mad, mad world, baby!

Some thoughts for the day....First off, could there be anything more ironic than this story?!? First Bush sends Powell to the UN to lie and trump up support for his personal vendetta against Sadam. Then he mocks Kerry in the run-up to the 2004 elections for suggesting the world doesn't support us. And now that it's obvious even to HIM that the world doesn't support us, he proposes going back to the UN for support to get us out. Mind you, Bush thinks so highly of the UN, he sneakingly appointed Bolton as the US ambassador to the UN. Bolton was on record as saying he hated the UN, and wanted it disbanded. What a leader we have!

Second....This one also gets filed in the ironic category. So al Qaeda had no presence in Iraq before we invaded, but now they want to and are using it as a base. And we're in a war against terror? Then why are facilitating it?!?

And lastly....The tolerance of *some* religious folks in this country is astounding.

Disagree? I'd like your thoughts....

**UPDATE**

So Bush is using the fact that Bin Laden wanted to use Iraq as a base for al Qaeda in 2005 to defend his policy, which has allowed al Qaeda to take ober Iraq? Is anyone really falling for this?

Basically, they weren't there until we took over, and now that we took over, they're there. And as a result, it's a good thing we're there, to stop them from being there! HUH???
